Tertiary Education Support
Indonesia
If without financial means, highly competent and motivated students in the Tobasa region of Indonesia are met with few opportunities to pursue further education upon their completion of high school. Places at the only government university in the area are extremely limited as applications outnumber available positions by approximately ten times, so many aspiring scholars must turn to the private sector. However, there are no government student loan options available, so those who lack the personal finances and are unable to seek support from family members are denied the opportunity.
This project is a provision to initially invest into the lives of abandoned, orphaned or financially disadvantaged youth who seek to attain higher education who will then invest in the lives of others in rural areas. This way, education ripples throughout communities to raise the next generation out of poverty
Key Areas of Expenditure:
