Life / Vocational Skilling

Providing vocational and on-the-job training is the first step in building a strong skillset for future work. Establishing and maintaining networks with potential employment bases then makes way to secure a transition through a bridging placement, a permanent job and a subsequent career. However, barriers to employment include

  • Illiteracy and poor education
  • Lack of specialisation
  • Morbidity
  • Language skills
  • Macro-level structural factors impacting job scarcity and oversupply of labour

Projects which seek to upskill individuals with intellectual know-how and practical aptitude empower them to overcome such barriers.
