Female Empowerment
Female Empowerment

Although the Indian family as a social institution is well known for the emotional and physical support that it provides to its extended members, it sometimes fails to respond to the needs of women, especially for women in difficult circumstances. Widows, victims of abuse, migrants, refugees and the homeless, destitute or deserted often fall outside the care of family units and into an existence of hand-to-mouth living.

The goal of this project is to help such women stand on their feet through female co-operatives. They will be equipped with entrepreneurial skills, leadership training, initial financial assistance and most importantly, a strong framework to assist them with any challenges they encounter.
